The command of the Lord Jesus is that we don’t ordain women. This is a NO. Nothing we do or say can ever change the mind of God the Lord. He doesn’t say one thing in His Word that is a lie.

I would be interested to know where it is that Jesus commands that we don’t ordain women. In my reading of scripture the ordination of men only is not specifically commanded, but rather the argument for men only ordination is inferred from certain passages like 1 Timothy 2:11-12 and 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 (see Theses of Agreement VI,11). These passages have a number of challenges for the biblical interpreter which have been canvassed in the OWL documents. I would encourage you to have a look at the paper “Do the Key Texts Lock the Door?” I wrote that article to address the complexities and difficulties in interpretation of the biblical passages on which the ordination of men only is built.

Exactly where in the four Gospels does Jesus command that women are not to be ordained? I’ve never read this in any of the four Gospels in my Bible.

Rebecca.
I find your comment rather strange, because with a statement such as yours, one would think you would provide some facts about where we can find this passage in the Bible, or who informed you . We must always state where we obtain our information, so that others can study the chapter you refer to.

I don’t think that the word ‘ordain’ actually appears in the Bible. I am happy to be corrected!
